David has been developing and managing successful marketing campaigns in the art and creative products community for over 35 years.  He “cut his teeth” working in art materials retail with Meininger Art Materials in 1982 and went on to manage Denver Art Supply until 1992.  From there, he launched Art Services, a marketing services company serving retailers and major brands across North America and Europe, including NAMTA, Strathmore, ColArt and more.  In 1999 he joined ColArt Americas, serving as Director of Marketing for Winsor+Newton and then Brand Director for Liquitex.  Over the last 15 years, he’s worked as the Group Publisher for the largest and most influential media brands in the fine art-making and crafting categories, including The Artist’s Magazine, American Artist, Watercolor Artist, Interweave Knits, Love of Quilting and, online, ArtistsNework.com, ArtistsNetwork.TV, QuiltingDaily.com, Interweave.com and more. He’s been responsible for signature events across the fine art and crafts community, including SketchKon, Weekend with the Masters, YarnFest, BeadFest, and Interweave Escapes.
